08 Oct How to make the most out of Networking in your Events

Networking is one of the key components for a successful event. Attendees are mainly looking for two things: learning and meeting like-minded individuals who could be great allies. Sometimes networking can be intimidating, even more so for introverts. So why not make things easier for everyone? We’ll share with you 4 tips:

1-Considerate the room layout, design and overall feel of the venue. Use the color palette that aligns best with your event’s goal. Make sure the whole design can make attendees feel welcome and comfortable. Ask yourself:

  • How will this room make them feel when they enter?
  • Does it feel like there’s enough fresh air?
  • Do textures create areas of focus on the right places?

2-Gamification is a great tool.  When participants experience a playful environment, the result is a memorable experience and effortless networking. Think of games that have an established goal, where people will learn something but also have fun and relax.

3- Collaborative sessions are a must. That way attendees will introduce themselves in smaller groups, get to know each other and feel more connected while keeping the focus on learning.

4- Ask for feedback. Not just in a general survey, have specific questions that focus on networking and engagement.
